About us
Consortial was founded by Dr. Arnd Halbach in Cologne in 2009 with the vision of strengthening young companies in Europe through targeted investments and helping them exploit their global potential. With our local networks and our experience of more than 20 years of international franchise development, we provide new impetus and create added value for all parties involved.
Dr. Arnd Halbach studied business administration at the Sorbonne in Paris, the WHU in Vallendar/Germany, the ICADE in Madrid and at the University of Cologne. After several years of research in the field of franchising, he completed his doctorate in entrepreneurship at the Schumpeter School of Business and Economics in Wuppertal in 2010. His professional background ranges from the banking sector (BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank Group) to retail (OBI AG) and consulting (ERA Group), where Arnd Halbach has been active since 2005. Over the last 20 years, he and the Consortial team have played a key role in the expansion of numerous franchise and licensed brands in the German-speaking and European markets.
